Description
Deflazacort is a glucocorticoid used as an anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressant.
It is an inactive prodrug which is metabolized rapidly to the active drug 21-desacetyldeflazacort. Its potency is around 70-90% that of prednisone.
Function :
Deflazacort has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic effects, the equivalent of prednisolone 10 to 20 times the decline for the adrenal cortex function, autoimmune diseases, allergic diseases and blood diseases.
